can make the difference in this world of fear and delusion. I'd have to agree with Terry's comments about trying to leave the grasp of the WTS cold turkey

without doing any intellectual investigation. I've seen people try and allot fail, do too not having the intellectual support around them, only to return to the Kingdom halls

in a state of mental limbo. The constant and overwhelming programing of fear that is put over the individuals by the WTS is their mainstay of control and is likewise with

so many other religions like this. In fair play the men that start these religions are using their own ability of free thinking to create and develop their chosen kingdoms,

why would not be correct then for free thinking individuals to throughly examine these kingdoms to see if they are justifiable in holding such power.

Maybe we can impress to the people that the WTS is more of a commercialized business rather than a spiritually guided true religion.

I know taking this avenue has a very good success rate, also tuning the clock backwards on the WTS in an investigating way has proven to be a very good approach also.

given the often devastating consequences of disassociation and disfellowshipping isn't it fair that those studying with the jws should be explicitly warned about these precedures in advance so that they know where they walking into?

so that they would be able to better judge whether they want to become jws and potentially risk losing jw family and friends at some future time?

how many of you would get baptised into the cult if you really knew about the policies of dfing and shunning?

Thats a very good point your making Greedawn, all of the encompassing rules and regulations are not put forth and made apparent to the newly interested ones. They get the big welcoming

smiles and did you know that we are god's only true religion on earth at present and did you know that god is soon to destroy this wicked system of things at Armageddon and turn this earth

back to Paradise where we can live forever, now would you like to join us to live in Paradise or would you rather be destroyed by the hands of Jehovah. This is how the first hook is set to

that is in place I think some men want to impress themselves and others that they really do have the power of god in their hands and dfing someone is just that vehicle to prove that point.

For example my nephew was dfed last year for touching his girlfriend's private parts. and even I thought that was an extreme abuse of power, I kept on wondering at the time how many

men on that JC had probably did the very same thing with their girlfriends before they were married. But I guess power is power after all and isn't that really the main reason that men

Elder for 30 years, lost privelages due to WT Education policy

this is a really good one.

an elder who was serving for more than 30 years, faithfull to the organization at all means, has lost his privelage due to the wt education policy.

the reason was that he allowed his son to study at the university.

This isn't all too surprising since for decades they have disposing the advantages of getting better education outside which is governed by law.

Their credo was that all universities and collages were places of godlessness and have no benefit to a true Christian and should be avoided, better time should be spent going door to door

and selling god's magazines and save lives as we know the time of reckoning is near.. In essence bring us more slaves to exploit to use for are kingdom and we know more slaves mean more

power and money. The measure of power and strength of a master is given by the amount of slaves he owns and controls, is it not ? Just a side thought.....

But of course when one of the GB members has a serious health problem they are down at the local hospital looking for the most talented and educated doctor to help them out with their

specific illness and are willing to hand over any amount of money to obtain it, somewhat of a taste of hypocrisy isn't !

In regards to Mr. Shermers comments, that certainly is rational and empathic to religious beliefs in general, it seems though to be too soft and weak of a stance to pose against

strong and vigilant religious beliefs, such as JWS for example. The balance of respect and tolerance has to be played out in equal portions to both ideologies, does it not ?

After all history has shown us that certain religions have killed people that didn't go along with their beliefs systems and this even continues today as we know.

In the way that the JWS are taught not to respect other religious beliefs or atheism for that matter I believe " the evil slave class or goats that are soon to be destroyed " is the term that

they are taught on, is not exactly a lot of respect and tolerance going on there is there. These power structured religions like the WTS. and others after all rooted and built on the obtainment

of power for a select few who seek it, this unfortunately usually results in giving humanity in general a kick in the balls. And it is for this reason that I've been an active atheist and have been

for years. My 2 cents
